Just to add some gasoline... apparently Verdugo has off field issues?
That’s always blended well with the immense pressure from s***** Bosox fans, not to mention replacing Jesus in the outfield.
Dugout fight in 3...2...1...
It seems like Pardinho isn’t ranking as high as I would expect on most of the recently released prospects lists. Is that based simply on his size, cause the results combined with his age suggest he should be higher ranked.
He’s been a “gut” follow for me since we drafted him. Just have a feeling about him. You can learn gap power, but those walk and k rates are just astonishing.. and he can steal a few bases.
“ I liked what I saw from Kay and Borucki in their initial stints with the team, but both guys are at best passable #4 starters and more likely than not are not very good at all.”
I was thinking #3/#4 for both, so I guess we just have different interpretations about what “garbage” is.
I used to deal and play poker and obviously you learn just from being at the same table. One common agreed upon fact... solid, talented players are much easier to anticipate than rookies and drunks.
My point is (and I’m not advocating Reese has eclipsed Jansen) there is value to seeing better competition. Just my 2 cents.
In a few years we’re gonna own the catcher market. Not a bad problem to have. Kinda gives more credence to a possible Jansen / McGuire trade.
Out of curiosity, (and considering the sss) has Reese “caught up to” Jansen, or is Danny still the starter?
He really does lack any significant self awareness. Does he think trolling Cashman and the Yanks is going to improve the odds of them signing him? Dudes burning bridges before he even gets to them ...
Just wanted to say how much I’ve enjoyed reading thru the last few pages. This is about the only thread on this site that doesn’t regularly get highjacked over some personal beef. (I have Todd on ignore;)
Really starting to love our 2024 rotation Now that the sell off is over the next great challenge for Shatkins is to bridge the gap from our 3.5 current starting to that dominant rotation in a few years. At least they’ve got lotso payroll space to work with.
