  1. Oooooh! My bad! I swear I thought you could review foul balls?
  2. They have someone in the clubhouse who looks over video for them. DeMarlo Hale calls them and asks to check it. If it's worth it, DeMarlo will thumbs it up, if it isn't he'll wave Gibbons off. It happened 2ice for the Jays and even Jon Madden did it once with his team
  3. Because Demarlo Hale got someone to check the replay and it was indeed foul. Why waste a replay if you won't win it?
  4. Well the Rays didn't seem phased when he was on the mound but it could still cause some timing issues, at least the first or second time around
  5. lol lucky you guys, my school has s***** as 1ply toilet paper (if they have toilet paper anyways)
  6. It's just sad to see people getting paid big $$$ f*** up on things that only need common sense, it's really pissing me off now ugh lol too much for me Hello, welcome to the board! 'Uncomfortable grey'? This is interesting. What's keeping the future from being dark to you? Because the way I see it, we have an oldass team that are missing pieces. With the way AA is moving, it seems like we're going to keep pushing with the same core guys, nothing new. And with the farm in shambles after last year's off season, it seems pretty dark to me (dark and expensive).

Jays: Drew Hutchison was a treat to watch in Spring Training. 19 strikeouts in 15 innings of work and his velocity made lots of Jays fans optimistic on what this righty can bring to the table. Hoping to tap into the powers of the Dickey effect, the 23 year old righty pitched to a solid 4.60 ERA (4.03 xFIP) in his partial rookie season (58.2 innings in 2012) before needing Tommy John Surgery in a wave of injuries that took out 3 starters within one week (Morrow and Drabek being the other 2). TJ surgery seemed to have done wonders to his velocity as he is throwing around 95 during spring training compared to a 90.1 mph average in 2012. He could have the potential to be one of the few awesome things this season. The Toronto Blue Jays just can't catch a break. At all. What is it? Are the baseball gods mad at us? Did the Jays f*** up in an alternate world? Or is it just the fact that our management team sucks? Well whatever the reason is, Jose Reyes landed himself on the 15 day DL with a typical (for him at least) left hamstring injury. Great. It was only the 3rd pitch of the ballgame, Jose Reyes hit a blooper to center, only to be robbed by Desmond Jennings. 3 pitches. Now at the time we were all wowing at the fact that Jennings got to that, but what we didn't see is that Reyes sprinted to 1B and felt a hammy issue. Yep. Apparently he wasn't 100% for Montreal either. Whoever cleared him for the game should be fired, along with whoever cleared Janssen to throw with his side being tight. Oh yeah and Drew remains a free agent, Kawazaki remains in AAA but we did however call up Jonathan "John McDonald" Diaz. Whoopty f***ing doo. The Blue Jays' 19 consecutive non-winning series streak at Tropicana Field is at 19 right now, which is the longest active streak of it's kind since the Rays in Fenway Park from 2000-05 (25 straight series!). Jays are off to a bad start but hope to pick up the final 3/4 games. Rays: Like JA Happ and unlike Hutchison's injury, Alex Cobb had a scary accident that led him to miss most of the remainder of the 2013 season. On June 15 Eric Hosmer hit a liner right to Cobb's ear leading to a concussion and didn't return until 2 months later. The kid went on a roll and didn't seem phased, as he struck out 58 in 59.2 innings and a 2.41 ERA in that time period. Oh yeah and he struck out 12 batters in a short spring training outing lol. The Rays suck at bringing in fans, yesterday's game marked the 67th they play infront of 30,000+ fans at home during regular season play. Their fans need to come more often (well not for Jays games at least lol) as they have a record of 50-17 infront of those nicely sized crowds. Wil Myers 3 hit performance was pretty impressive last night. It tied his career high in hits in a game and it was the first time a Rays player got 3 hits on opening day since both Evan Longoria and Carlos Pena did it in 2012 against the Yankees. Standings: http://i.imgur.com/lTs5wI4.png Venue: http://www.andrewclem.com/Baseball/Diag/TropicanaField.gif I hope you guys enjoy the GDT! Please leave feedback and ideas/improvements for future GDTs!
  8. I just got home, what do you think I'm doing
  9. This is what could have been: LF Melky RF Bautista 1B EE DH Lind 3B Lawrie CF Rasmus C TDA SS Escobar 2B Aviles Bench: C Mathis/Gomes/Navarro(If we chose to sign him)/Kratz(Best post-Farrell trade?), INF Hech, OF Sierra, another bench player Morrow Alvarez Synder Hutch McGowan Same old BP minus Rogers and plus Silston Farm pieces: Nicolino, Marisnick, DeSclafani + extra Payroll: Probably near San Diego's payroll of $92MM. We could have easily used up to $20MM AAV for a #1 in the offseason and not get burned
  10. These people are probably the same people who told Reyes to run the tightness in his hamstring out. f*** this organization.
  11. Yup. Who the f*** doesn't know that a hamstring lingers ESPECIALLY ON SOMEONE WITH AS MANY LEG PROBLEMS AS REYES???? Yup, we have many years ahead of us. Thank god for our young studs like Dickey, Buehrle and Bautista!
  12. Not setting the lineup but keeping him in for the buzz. Once again I don't want to blame the FO but you're going to tell me Gibbons is smart enough for matchups, platoons, advanced lineup placements but not setting your best player at a shallow position? That our our medical team is clueless as f***.
  13. Gibbons is too smart for this stupid move. Montreal was heavily pushed by Beeston and co. I hate to keep blaming the FO for everything but I can totally see this. These are the same people who demoted Kratz to give Dickey Thole and called up Diaz over Kawazaki and don't want to sign Drew
  14. So Reyes, was the Hammy 100%? “It wasn’t 100 per cent at all, when I was hitting in the box I was obviously thinking about running. I said in my mind, base hit, fly ball – I don’t know how I’m going to run fast. Today, I felt a little better today and when I tried to put a little speed … something is not right.” Ok why'd you play then? “I thought I could play through it. Sometimes you’re not 100 per cent and you feel like you can play, but that wasn’t the case.” How'd you know you had a hammy problem yesterday? “I just tried to play through it. I was having some problems with the hammy and when I hit the ball to centre field I saw the guy dive for the ball. I thought the ball was going to drop and bounce away from him. I tried to run a little bit faster between home plate and first base and kind of felt my hammy there. I had to slow down and get out of the game because I don’t want it to get any worse.” FFS what kind of management is running this team?? 15. True, my ERA is sexy at the moment too thanks to Rogers and K-Rod
