Who cares though? Right now the team, with the signing of Martin and keeping of older players like Bautista, Reyes, Buehrle and Dickey our window is getting really short and we have no chance to rebuild atm. We gotta go in, but at least he's doing it smartly. Rather this than a Marlins/Mets 2.0 trade

How did I forget Michigan as a whole, I don't understand how we're not loved more as a city
-
Yunel Escobar No kidding, who would want to play in Oakland or Missouri (KC/STL)... I would think that Toronto is a great city for young people to go to compared to much of the US
-
Word, I have no idea why we would on his list especially since we're never going to want him...

Anthony Gose traded to Tigers for Devon Travis
fatcowxlive replied to burlingtonbandit's topic in Toronto Blue Jays Talk
Oh for sure, I'm talking player vs. player, I'd think Travis hold more value than Gose. Situation wise however, great move from both teams. Like you said, they got excess speed off the bench and plus-plus CF defence paid less than a million which is exactly what they (or almost any MLB team) needs -

Good job on AA, I couldn't believe it when I read it. Gose was overhyped enough to trick the Tigers! -

Dickey, who is seeking his first win in four tries and has allowed four runs in 12 innings over his last two outings. The right-hander is 1-1 with a 2.63 ERA in five games - three starts - against the Brewers, but hasn't faced them since taking a 6-2 loss on Aug. 21, 2011, with the New York Mets. Dickey gave up two runs in seven innings. Jose Bautista has reached base safely in 110 of his 119 starts this season. He has also reached base safely in 26 straight games. The Blue Jays have lost six of seven, with their pitchers posting a 6.95 ERA in that span. Brewers: Jimmy Nelson faced the Dodgers in each of his last two turns, giving up two runs over six innings both times. He suffered a 5-1 defeat Aug. 10 and didn't receive a decision in Milwaukee's 6-3 road win Friday. The latter marked his fifth straight quality start, though he's won just one of those outings. Opponents are batting .283 against Nelson over four day games compared to .222 in three night contests. Ramirez is batting .426 over his last 17 games with eight extra-base hits, and he's 7 for 14 with eight RBIs in four career matchups with Toronto at Miller Park. Lucroy is 6 for 17 over his last four games, with five of those hits going for extra bases. Lucroy currently leads the National League in doubles (42). No primary catcher in Major League history has ever led his league in doubles. Cabrera is batting .364 with eight RBIs in his last 11 games, and .378 with 15 RBIs in his last 17 at Chicago, and since June 24, Reyes is hitting .343 with 32 runs scored in 45 games. Tigers: Chicago counters with rookie Scott Carroll, who is 0-2 with a 6.65 ERA in his last four starts. The right-hander hasn't pitched since he allowed seven runs, three homers and three walks over five innings in a 13-3 loss at Seattle on Aug. 7. Carroll yielded five runs - three earned - and seven hits in five innings of a 7-0 loss at Toronto on June 26. Cuban rookie Jose Abreu is 6 for 12 in his last three games, and 10 for 24 versus Toronto. The White Sox are 4-2 against the Blue Jays this season, 14-9 since 2012 and 11-6 over their last 17 meetings. He's failed to complete five innings in three of his last four, including the last two where he's allowed nine runs - six earned - and 19 hits over 7 1-3 innings while going 0-1. The Blue Jays are 3-10 this month after winning 11 of their final 13 in July. Tigers: Danks has struggled since the break, going 1-2 with a 9.22 ERA in five outings following a four-start stretch where he was 2-0 with a 2.73 ERA. The left-hander allowed three of his four runs in the second inning and lasted 6 1-3 of a 4-2 loss at Seattle on Sunday. Jose Abreu hasn't homered since July 29, but remains tied for Major League lead with 31. The Cuban rookie is 8 for 20 with two homers and six RBIs against the Blue Jays. The right-hander then worked nine in a 3-2, 10-inning victory over Detroit on Saturday, failing to get a decision after allowing two runs and four hits on 109 pitches. Toronto's starting pitchers have a decent 4.40 ERA in August, but the lineup has batted .236 with 104 strikeouts, 30 runs and 103 men left on base. The Blue Jays are also suffering through a power drought with five home runs this month after hitting 134 in their first 110 games. Toronto had gone deep 18 times in its first 14 after the All-Star break, posting an 11-3 mark in that span. Tigers: Noesi's most recent outing was arguably his best of the season. He held Seattle - his former team - to one run over 7 1-3 innings in a 2-1 win Saturday and didn't allow a homer for the first time in five starts. Chicago is returning home from a 2-4 trip that ended with a frustrating 7-1 loss to San Francisco on Wednesday. The Giants scored all their runs in the seventh after a replay overturned an out call at home. The White Sox have lost 30 games this season after holding a lead, the third-highest total in the Major Leagues behind Texas (36) and Toronto (31) Standings: http://i.imgur.com/OhxMuIe.png http://i.imgur.com/SKMNoHj.png Venue: http://i.imgur.com/cxXkdZZ.png http://www.andrewclem.com/Baseball/Diag/USCellularField.gif I hope you guys enjoy the GDT! The knuckleballer yielded two runs over six innings Friday and was in line for a victory before the bullpen blew a two-run lead in the ninth inning of a 5-4 home loss to the Tigers. Blue Jays slugger Adam Lind went 0 for 3 on Tuesday in his first action since July 7 after missing 28 games with a right foot injury. The club will play one final time before Edwin Encarnacion is expected to be activated Friday. Tigers: Iwakuma maintains the mound mastery that has seen him go 5-2 with a 2.04 ERA in eight outings since the start of July. He has lasted at least seven innings in seven straight, and owns a 1.66 ERA in the last three. The right-hander, who limited the White Sox to a run over seven innings in Friday's 4-1 win, is 2-1 with a 1.61 ERA in three career starts against the Blue Jays. He has held Colby Rasmus hitless in 11 at-bats, and Dioner Navarro is the only available Blue Jays hitter who has homered off Iwakuma. Dating back to 2007, the Mariners have won 17 of 25 games against the Blue Jays at Safeco Field.
