That's true, and I agree with you on that statement, I think it's stupid if the FO makes a decision based on the drought. However that's not what I meant to say. I meant to say that this was the trade that got us in to the post season, which happened to be after 22 years. While I'm sure Norris is going to be a stud, I'm not 100% convinced that Norris can give us the same value/make as big of an impact in the later years as Price did down the stretch. I personally don't think Norris will be a Syndergaard or a Halladay or a Stroman. He'll be a great solid front of the rotation pitcher, but I think we have enough arms coming up and enough young talent in the farm to deal if we need a younger front of the rotation starter in the future. Don't forget that this post-season run will give Rogers an incentive to spend on the team given the positive response from the nation during the run which could mean good FA signings in the near future.

That is true. He should have done better to clear Goins name from that situation, like maybe "accidents happen and you move on" or something general like that to try and make the Goins play much less of a topic than it is (they were swarming the both of them with questions about that play like thats the main reason we gave up 5 runs). But again he can't be straight up with the media and tell them the crowd called him off. Then you'd here the entire ballpark yelling "I got it" on every flyout which makes communication even harder.

It won't hurt me. We sacrificed him to pretty much guarantee the end of the 22 year post-season drought. Especially if we go all the way, I could care less if Norris becomes a CY Young winner year in and year out.

Yeah I'm confused as to why Bautista should "take one for the team" in this situation. It's not his fault. He said it wasn't a communication issue, aka I got called off and so I didn't go for it. Goins literally said in his post game interview that he thought he heard someone call him off, you see the tape and Bautista clearly didn't say anything nor wave or anything. Even after he play Goins asks Bautista something (probably, "weren't you calling me off at the end?") and he responded by shaking his head. I think it's easy to infer that someone in the stands tricked Goins and that's the end of it. Accidents happen. Goins shouldn't be blamed fully for that inning, if a runner gets on it doesn't mean you can give up 5 runs as a result of it. Actually if anything Goins cutting infront of Tulo on the ground ball that prevented the double play from happening was worse than that popup mistake.

Well f*** if Goins didn't yell he got it and Bautista didn't I wonder who did? Jesus Christ some of you guys are in love with Drama. You'd probably be more happy if Bautista was in fact throwing Goins under the bus wouldn't you?

I didn't see that as him throwing Goins under the bus. The way I saw it is that the fans called Bautista 'off' and he didn't want to say that in front of the cameras. If he does then all of KC will yell got it on every ball in the air.

Welcome to the board! Well if you have MLB.tv you can view the game in its entirety, and I guess you can use a video downloader to grab the link of the game being played and download it for you. I don't think anyone has the game to sell yet and I don't think it will be available until at least a few months -
