It's 9-0 but generally people don't get pulled that early. Especially Bautista who had a bench stint not too long ago and only his 3rd game in the field since then. He's fresh Also no Carerra could be banged up from yesterday, not sure how you guys can fault Gibby here

They get hurt, but I prefer the old rules to the new ones. The new ones are way too arbitrary. There needs to be clear cut rules. Pillars slide can't be deemed illegal there was literally no where else he could go. I agree with you, as long as there was no intent it's fine. My suggestion is that if you make natural contact during your slide into the bag it's legal. There should be space to allow breaking up DPs

What do you suggest as a change then? I think if the player makes contact with the bag by the end of his slide he's free to do whatever. So you can slide with your hand to your side making contact with the bag and you can break up the DP from the side.

f*** everything ugh we've been the most hurt by this rule, 3 or 4 auto DPs so far

I hope they f***ing take this rule out asap. I don't care who broke his leg, what the f*** was wrong with the old rules?? The catcher rule OK I kind of get, people used to take out catchers like trains, but 99% of the slides into 2B have no where near the same force as taking out the catcher.
