    You know what. Dickey has been great as a blue jay, he really has. 5.4 fWAR across 3 seasons + 0.5 fWAR so far this year... across minimum 215 IP a season for the salary we're paying him is a fantastic deal given how much money starters are getting. Now with that being said we gave up way too much for him

    People!!!!!!! A 35 year old RFer who is not able to play the outfield anymore, who's in his final year in his contract, in the middle of a poor season (by his standards) and injured for about a month doesn't get you jack on the market. No one is buying high on this guy we might as well hold on to him and hopes he changes his season around and says healthy, which he probably will

    The point I think is we pick up that chunk in exchange we don't give them that much back. Eventually we're giving them a salary relief. 16M for a 1.5 war player at age 32 isn't hot we're doing them a favour

    Yea he can be had, but I think we're too drained to get him. He's having his best season so far no? Top 5 offensive player in the NL, they can get more than what we can scrape from us I think. Could be wrong tho
