  1. Well he just got the suspension in accordance to the domestic violence rules from MLBPA
  2. Yup you're right. If he is indeed charged by the court and it didn't get dropped or he didn't beat the case, he's done from here for sure. And like I said in another post if it gets dropped but there's VIDEO evidence of him assaulting the victim, regardless of if he's charged or not, he has a good chance of being the next Ray Rice. He ended up marrying the girl and he still can't get a job with the NFL. Videos have a bigger effect than court proceedings
  3. Yeah exactly, you said it. It's not worth keeping bad PR for a super utility player. But for a 21 year old closer who's setting records? Yeah they'll treat this differently
  4. Yunel Escobar was replaced by Jose Reyes as part of an attempt by Rogers to bring the idea we were competitive by bringing in aging stars like Josh Johnson and Dickey lol. They plastered his face all over the city, he wasn't exactly being replaced by Mike McCoy and he wasn't DFA'd
  5. Wow, did not know that. Can't she just not testify and step down from the case? Ive heard stories of that in Toronto before re assault cases, the courts would only pick it up if they deem there's sufficient evidence to prosecute him, but if the victim is refusing to co-operate or say something else does that not make that harder to pick up?
  6. If it was an argument then the charges would have been dropped for such a high profile person by now I would think. The only time you see things "dropped" down the line usually is because the person backs down and wants to continue the relationship (if it's a domestic partner) or there is a settlement in place outside the public eye. Or of course it's a false accusation, but usually a prosecutor will figure that out (through inconsistencies or lack of evidence) before the case can be voluntarily dropped by the accuser
  7. Let's wait for the courts to do their thing, I don't think it puts his career in jeopardy, but it's definitely going to side track him and hurt the team. I expect him to be suspended indefinitely until something clears up. Most celebrity related cases get settled out of court if he was wrong, and if he didn't do it and he's got the proof then he'll win the case. Either way unless she doesn't back down and he gets indicted for something nasty, or (regardless of the outcome) there's video evidence, like a Ray Rice incident, more than likely the league and team won't do anything more than a suspension. Remember ex-Jay glass bum Jose Reyes was accused and still picked up by the Mets after he got released. And he isn't even that useful as a Major Leaguer. This is in regards to your other post, I don't see anything happening to his career other than in it being put on hold.
  8. Sanchez wasn't helped by the defense today.. but he's pretty trash today
  9. Did Tabby say Dipsey Doodle? What is this 1940?
  10. I would like to nominate this post for POTY
  11. Diaz being bad is the norm but he's solid defensively. Devon looks lost at the plate and on the field. I think a period in AAA will do wonders to bring his timing back and his focus back
  12. GRANDY BOiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
  13. f*** u ump you dickhead
  14. Yeah but I miss the old Porcello that could barely hit the zone and would hang his sinker lol
  15. YESSSS DEVERS hahahaha
