  1. well sure but i do believe the proposition being advanced on here is Lackey as No. 5
  2. Lackey would be a sure sign the FO is punting 2018, which they are, but they are being coy about it.
  3. i'm curious why yahoo isn't working on and testing a beta version throughout the year.... replacing the production version with the verified beta version takes little time
  4. not much needs to be done, really i would tie pre-arb pay to a performance value such as WAR, replacing the $500K std don't care about lowered FA deals, its market determined needs to be a soft cap at both ends to improve parity, with the penalty increasing more rapidly as a team moves further below the bottom cap or above the higher cap increased pay and benefits for MiLB players, and severance packages for released MiLB players a single draft for all players with 18 yrs being the age limit weighted lottery system for all non-post season teams for draft order
  5. for some stupid reason i joined a FB blue jays fan club....... reminds me of a thread on whether JD should be extended.... some people said "would rather have goins"
  6. the following are available for very little Tyler Flowers CJ Cron (breakout candidate) Gavin Cecchini (who?) Delino Deshields (Jr, not Sr) Antonio Senzatela (SP/RP in case you were wondering) Chih-Wei Hu (not a dog breed) Chase Headley (hot commodity - will get plenty of playing time in Petco) Also available is Cole Calhoun, but not for very little

FYI, I posted this in October. I have a good eye.
  8. I have a package deal of CJ Cron and Brandon Kintzler available for you

No question. Leafs would have to give up hope of signing either Nylander or Marner for it to work. Still, Tavares and Matthews C1 and C2 and PP1 duo would be something else.

Who is McDermott? Dermott and Borgman have been excellent rookie d-men. Polak will be kept, limited ice time and probably scratched more. But the Leafs want him around as depth particularly in the playoffs. By the way, Bozak and JVR contracts both expire this season, money freed for Tavares.....

Ya, nice to see a hard nosed play for a goal. Some atrocious play in their own end by the Leafs so far.... Nylander continues to struggle on the defensive end.
  12. Nah, EE was professional throughout. Jose stopped being a douche after getting clocked by Odor. His numbers started tanking same time.
  13. Working out the details of a 1 day contract

  15. Same. When his arm blows apart, he might end up a league average DH.
  16. wondering if i should trade for Hohtani on the chance he turns a Babe Ruth
  17. that's fine although awkward
  18. this is a biased opinion
  19. To think we almost traded Vlad for Cutch
  20. Yahoo is treating the pitcher and the hitter as two separate entities. So split him into Pohtani and Hohtani, two distinct assets. If on the MiLB roster, can promote at same time or separately
  21. Whatever it is, it will be a massive overpayment. Buying into the hype. Boxy is smart here.
  22. Right.... and the hitter Ohtani can be kept on the MiLB roster with the pitcher Ohtani on the MLB roster, i guess!
  23. https://sports.yahoo.com/news/shohei-ohtanis-status-yahoo-fantasy-baseball-012323575.html Boxy are you auctioning both Ohtanis? Plus, Ohtani takes up two roster spots. If you trade for Ohtani, it's two players, and you will have to drop an extra player at the cut off unless you cut the batting Ohtani. Hmmmm.....
  24. Might be Castellanos last year of 3B eligibility. Tigers will roll with Candelario at 3B, Nick to the OF and ultimately 1B. Been trying to move him for this reason for a few months now. Rebuilding Pirates will give Glasnow every chance this year. I expect he will find it.
