  1. He's gotten better at every level, bro. His mastery of the strike zone should result in a .330 - .340 OBP right now. I'd rather pay Morales $9M or whatever it is to sit at home, and $1M to Vlad.
  2. Or get hurt. I can see a couple of FA years being bought through a strongly back loaded contract (this also gives the Jays financial room during Vlad's peak which may be 20-25 after which his body renders him a slow footed 1B/DH). If Vlad comes up soon my wins prediction goes from 79 to 85. Vlad = +4, dump Morales = +2
  3. Vladdy 2-2 so far tonight. single and triple .446 OBP Too good for AA
  4. Yes and even within the SSS, I suspect he was having the migraine issues during the games.
  5. Ah well, at least Pompey is playing baseball. He'd be an ideal 4th OF, speed, switch hitter, good D although the arm is average. Here's hoping he stays healthy and gets a chance to show he's a MLB calibre player.
  6. Grichuk is out for 3 weeks, per Davidi Pompey get the call?
  7. And the Bucs take the lead over the Cards. The Pirates are a team to watch.
  8. Juan Soto 3/4 so far today, OPS in high A now over 1.000 He'll be in AA by July
  9. I disagree, given the years of control. I'd be making enquiries related to JA Happ, for sure.
  10. I have him in BORED and expect you are readying a deal for him. Soto and Luzardo the guys with the most early helium.
  11. Yahoo is messed up tonight?
  12. Yep. You got a share?
  13. Glasnow strikes out the side with some ridiculous heat and movement
  14. http://www.streamsgate.site/p/mlb.html?id=braves&ty=h acuna at the plate
  15. I thought you were the Morales fan club prez
  16. How much did Morales miss by, there?
  17. Let's hold off on irrational comparisons until Teoscar has at least gone through the league pitchers more than once. MLB is littered with players that started hot and went cold after the pitchers figured out the weaknesses.
  18. Morally unfit to be a mod.
  19. Yeah, as a 22 yr old college guy in A ball Smith is not moving my staff at all.
  20. Nah, if the Jays pitching stays healthy they easily surpass 79 wins. If a normal year with a couple of starters out for extended periods, 79 should be about right.
  21. Haha, says the guy that wanted to trade Sanchez for nothing to the guy that called Sanchez future 1-2 starter. Also, it's April, you shouldn't be getting excited.
  22. It's April. My 79 wins prediction stands.
  23. Damn, I'm thinking we could pry Soroka from Atlanta for JD, if they keep this up. Hell, it's AA, we should be able to get Riley too.

He likely was playing injured. He also was keyed on by the Bruins and had Chara up his ass almost every shift. And why Marner had a good series, the Bruins did not key on him / let him have space. Another reason why the Leafs signing Tavares (no loss of draft picks required) in the offseason makes sense. Stanley Cup winners tend to have two elite centremen. Hard to defend against both. They have the cap room - no JVR, no Bozie.
  25. Not really, but the other Kevin on Dunedin is. Elite skills at SS.
