  1. I'm at my dads and can't find the game on stupid rogers cable.... what channel? help
  2. kind of works out, now the jays can hold him down until next April
  3. Biggio has 6 games at 1B, 8 games 2B so far this season. 12 games corner OF AFL. 38 games 3B last season. Nice flexibility.
  4. Wander Franco is now destroying A ball. 3/4 with 2 HR tonight. 3 home runs, 3 doubles, and single in his last 9 AB
  5. Of course. The other change is the use of the MLB ball. Glaser thinks it is going to skew the numbers quite a bit from what we are used to, in AAA.
  6. Glaser over at BA has said multiple times to be wary of AAA early season numbers (1) its early, (2) AAA is using the MLB ball this year. But for Biggio this is just a continuation of last season.
  7. Businesses already charge different prices for different customers at the same time. Sales distributors typically give lower prices to long term, established customers than they do newer ones. There is nothing illegal here (unless they started to discriminate on the basis of sex, race, disability, etc) the only downside is as you stated, pissing off potential customers. Businesses will weigh the increased profit margins against that risk.
  8. No one is forced to buy a ticket. I can see why they wouldn't drop ticket prices below the published market price (but may well raise them). Dropping the price below the market price would have potential ticket buyers holding out, hoping for a price drop.
  9. No. It's a business, and the owners set the business model. Capitalism at work. There's no social interest in regulating the ticket price like there is for health care for example.
  10. With dynamic pricing, if demand is low, the prices should drop. In true dynamic pricing, a computer algorithm sets the price.
  11. Better hope Vladdy's homeboys don't see this
  12. Well in BA today there was a report on him getting to his power while maintaining strike zone control. And doing it in AA.
  13. I have no shares in Pavin, man I would have posted about Wander, but it would have been unseemly. I own him in 2 leagues.
  14. Paving Smith back from the dead?
  15. Yes, health permitting and he doesn't eat his way out of MLB
  16. Lesson learned, always go with better bloodlines. Caveat, maybe no one was giving us anything for damaged goods.
  17. The corrupting of the Around Baseball thread is unacceptable. BANS are in order.
  18. bluejaysnation.com is not journalism
  19. Multiple sources now reporting debut is tomorrow. Could be just working off the original rumour, or maybe theres more
  20. As of now, just at 3rd base, I expect Bregman, Arenado, Rendon, J-Ram, Machado, Chapman would be considered higher value assets. So 'one of the best players in baseball', while true in 2016, no longer applies. And time is not on JD's side. A 5 WAR 2019 though and he will get paid.
