Last year's team was a giant disaster and it wasn't just Lowry being hurt. Nobody in their right mind picked Toronto to win that series. The way that team was being run into the ground by Greveis and Co. would have been swept by a couple of non playoff teams.
Contrary to popular belief, fans don't have any influence on the games, despite their "jinx's". This year's Toronto team is clearly on a different level than Detroit and Indiana. If they lose they lose, it's not going to change the fact that they should probably still sweep those inferior teams.
