    That was some serious hog s***. It's blatantly terrible calls like that truly make me second guess if I even want to be bogged down by the (highs and) lows of sports fandom. It was clearly a call made to favour the golden f***boy, Tom Brady, and his can-do-no-wrong New England Patriots.

    FWIW, his xwOBA was 36 points higher than his actual wOBA, so he be in line for some regression. Still, it's a weird signing for mid-December. He's just not very sexy at 1B, no matter how you slice it.
