  1. I really f***ing hope not. If management decides to do this, I sure hope Gibbons is kept on some capacity.
  2. I'm so sick and tired of the constant bs of referring back to 92/93 special events. It got old real fast.
  3. Looks like he's got some pretty good downward movement with the fastball.
  4. Considering that prospect rankings change more than the weather, I'd be hesitant to use that very rough calculation to judge those moves. Secondly, if you look at FG's top 100 prospect lists, you'll see that only 42 prospects by fangraphs are graded out to be 2.5 WAR or above avg regulars. Something that at least fangraphs acknowledges is rather conservative and the rankings change very rapidly. Especially with players down in the low minors.
  5. Where the f*** are you getting these WAR "calculations" from?
  6. f*** as an Ortiz owner, his value just tanked.
  7. There's no way Gurriel walks off the field if he has a severe strain.
  8. If AA is gonna handle this remotely similar to Yunel Escobar... Get 'er done Shatkins.
  9. Grichuk just can't aim those line drives.
  10. Grichuk is really getting s*** luck with the balls he hits.
  11. He squared that s*** up good.
  12. Well, he's got a 3.70 career xFIP. So he's not a total shitbag.
  13. Of all the guys you listed, only Grichuk K's at even a league average amount. Having a low 20% K rate is not considered very high anymore. Speaking of which, Griuchuk has a K rate of only 24.4, damn. If he can maintain that and his BABIP can go up a bit, that would be just swell.
  14. Inverse relationship between power and walk rate.
  15. To be fair, McKinney does have an intriguing offensive profile and he's been hitting for power since last year as a 23 year old in Triple A. That's not nothing. Obviously I would have preferred a guy like Medina or their lower level pitchers, but it seems safe to say those guys were off the table.
  16. I kind of like this, when Wall's healthy, he's played very well. There was power in his bat, not so sure after the shoulder injuries now.
  17. Lol. My Korean friend is gonna be pissed.
