  1. They would never see it coming. If Kawaski listened he would have an RBI.
  2. Alright Lawrie, two down, a good time to try and run.
  3. I love that Reyes is trying, but he needs to be wiser in his decisions and understand his limitations.
  4. I know, what a f***ing narc.
  5. I'm already buzzed, so I'm prepared for anything, lol.
  6. A DP is great, but never at the expense of getting a sure out. Reyes is just trying to do too much and needs to tone it down a bit I think.
  7. I have alerted the mods. You are on watch sir.
  8. Well Gose will be ready to take over in CF next season at league minimum. Even if the bat never gets to where we hope, the defence alone will make him an excellent asset.
  9. Agreed. I also see the future a lot brighter than some others, especially with a lot of payroll coming off the books over the next few years.
  10. Let's all remember that the Jays have already beat some of the best pitchers in the league this year. It will be tough, but not impossible.
  11. This whole place has been filled with negativity lately, thought a change of pace would be nice. The Jays are in first place which most if not all of us didn't think would happen by this point in the season. While this latest slide has been s*****, this team still remains atop the division. We have swept the A's, Tigers, Red Sox, and Rays, while only being swept once up to this point, which is quite nice. Hutch has recovered from his injury and has emerged as a promising young arm that looks to be a potential top of the rotation contributor at minimal cost. Stroman finally got his chance and has looked promising as well and provides a solid young duo alongside Hutch for our rotation for the next several years. Buehrle is more than earning his salary which many thought was an albatross of a contract and has now become an easily moveable asset should AA want to make some bold moves in the off season. We still have Sanchez and Norris is emerging strong through the system, not to mention Nolin who looks like he could be another cheap young option (back end). Assuming AA doesn't make any trades (doubtful), this team has a young core of SP to transition into the next phase after many of our larger contracts begin to expire. The Jays had a great draft and the system looks really strong at the lower levels and should start moving up the rankings over the next year or so. I can go on, but the point of this thread is to quit being so negative and look at some of the positives. This team is in contention, we have a few nice young pieces, some expiring contracts and a farm that will rise again. Let's be positive going into tonight's game, rather than being defeatist losers.
  12. Latos is a stud, hopefully the Jays are up for the challenge tonight and the bats rise to the occasion.
  13. Don't worry guys, the playoffs will be easy to make......too soon?
  14. Don't mean to be negative, but does anyone else think the Reds carve this lineup up over the weekend and the Jays get knocked out of first?
  15. They were never 8.5 games up on the next best. The highest was 6.
