I get bummed when they lose and then I remember the season has 162 games. There will be ups and downs and sometimes the ups will be great and the downs will be terrible, but when you take a step back it's easy to see a 10 or 15 game stretch does not make a season. Don't get me wrong, it's great to be passionate about your team, but all I am saying is look at the big picture. This team may not be good enough to contend down the stretch, but let's give them a chance before throwing in the towel, especially when they are still in an excellent position in the standings while enduring a horrid slump. They were good enough to get themselves in a position to endure this terrible stretch and still remain in first. That's all I have to say.

How long have you watched this game? Honest question. All my friends who have followed this sport for years don't seem bothered one bit, but the novice fans are flipping their lids.

People need to understand this is baseball. Anyone who has watched this game long enough knows stretches like this happen. It's a long season for a reason. If this team is good enough they will bounce back. Going day to day in this sport is silly. Lets see how they finish the month and what they do heading into the all star break.
