    I know. Did he mean it? If so, why the f*** did he let every single FA starting pitcher go elsewhere? If he didn't mean it, why did he say anything? Every single person in the game and every fan knew he needed to improve the rotation and he didn't. Massive stupid fail.

    Me too. I generally hate scapegoating, but Mottola always seemed like the wrong firing if you were going to fire somebody.

    Well over a huge sample size (we're talking almost a month of an entire team here) FIP and ERA should be reasonably close I would think?

    Great inning Now what they usually do here is suddenly stop scoring runs, letting the opposing starter off the hook, and then our starter gives them runs back PLEASE don't do either of those things today. Please.
