  1. Not especially. Past Francisco and trickled left of the foul line so it took Melky a while to get to it.
  2. So close Edwin I was worried after watching everyone late on the 100 mph thing
  3. Yep It still seems possible that they deliberately punted last year's pick anyway. Gotta draft well and sign this year. The farm system needs a boost.
  4. Oh, the raging that would happen!!
  5. Did you "come across this" on your own blog site by any chance??
  6. Yet Sierra has no options Therefore he gets a 25 man roster spot #LuvThisTeem
  7. Roger Clemens in trouble again http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/i-team/clemens-legal-team-hit-hard-brooklyn-federal-court-article-1.1773176 http://assets.nydailynews.com/polopoly_fs/1.1773173.1398802541!/img/httpImage/image.jpg_gen/derivatives/article_1200/clemensweb30s-3-web.jpg?enlarged
  8. And he bats right. He would appear to be more useful than Sierra.
  9. That's just it. We know what Dickey and Morrow CAN do. But WILL they?
  10. Huh. Only 5 games but walks up, K's way down. I doubt the Mets are worried yet though. Still, makes me so happy we kept Stroman at least.
  11. Yeah Bautista can be lippy too LOL
  12. Good to know He looked so bad in spring training that I had pretty much given up on him
  13. Player must have known he'd get despaired

  16. My point was that you don't have to accept a mediocre pitcher for your 5th starter. A couple people had been saying they thought have a guy who can give you 180 innings with a 5+ ERA was "good enough for a 5th starter" Well it's not desirable, and it's REALLY not good enough when your rotation has no #1 caliber starters to balance it out.
  17. 5 good starters > 4 good ones and 1 crap You don't HAVE to have a crappy pitcher in your rotation
  18. Surely to God some team would want a package including some 2 among Redmond/Rogers/McGowan/Happ + a prospect I'd like to keep them all as depth but none have options and we can't carry them all in the bullpen long term Untenable
  19. Medical training and work enhance the powers of observation.
  20. And here we go again, we all seem to have this debate on a weekly basis
  21. Here's how I would separate the two questions that we seem to be asking ourselves 1. McGowan didn't blow the game last night because it was the bullpen who gave up most of the runs 2. Despite that, he didn't pitch that well according to the best stats, and his performance overall this season, including last night suggests he's not good enough to keep a starting job
