  1. Just finished a midterm; I'll pick in a minute.
  2. Next time check the trade history first!
  3. I promise to fulfill my duties with diligence and honour. Representing the Howies makes me proud.
  4. I like to carry at least one such guy. But then I also tend not to carry more than one bench hitter. Can one of you commissioners process the Taylor/#51 swap that was posted to Yahoo a couple days ago? Or I can do it myself if that's okay.
  5. Brandon Maurer could be the next Wade Davis. Probably the best SP-eligible reliever there is right now.
  6. The Choo and Fielder additions exposed a pretty poor process. Both players looked like ~3 win players, yet the Rangers decided to pay them each a massive amount for seven years. And they've bungled a middle infield situation that looked so promising. They traded a reliable 3+ win player in Ian Kinsler for a negative asset, locked up Elvis Andrus (who is fine, but nothing special) to a bloated contract which only kicks in this year, messed with Profar's development by calling him up and down without committing him to a position, etc. Hopefully they just stick with Odor going forward. Also, they guaranteed JP Arencibia $1.8M.
  7. Hunter Strickland was available? Great pick. He and Mike Foltynewicz were recently traded for the #8 MiLB pick in BBDL.
  8. Does your friend go to Waterloo?
  9. I carried him through that whole season in MPL. If the Royals rotation wasn't full I'd be drafting him in every deep league.
  10. Joe Blanton's 2013 is one of the great mysteries of our sport. Guy is probably still a decent pitcher.
  11. How much excitement does the waiver draft bring though? It's a pretty pointless exercise IMO.
  12. I would support combining the two drafts.
  13. I had an opportunity to acquire the #2 pick and regret not taking it. You should get a very fine prospect.
  14. Moncada wouldn't have been eligible anyway. Olivera would have been.
  15. I remember that Gibbers made it seem like he had something up his sleeve with this waiver pick. Edit:
  16. We decided that playing in AA during the current year wasn't enough for free agent eligibility due to problems that arise with making players eligible at a specific time. I thought the resolution was that players needed to play AA in past seasons to gain eligibility. I'm not aware of a discrepancy in waiver draft eligibility and free agent eligibility.
  17. Wouldn't Naquin be eligible to be added after the waiver draft since he played AA in 2014?
  18. Santana is getting up there in age too. I think he'll go off the board.
  19. Danny Santana lol There really is no new talent in this pool.
  20. We kind of are a clique lol. GD and King pretend to hate each other which is always funny.
  21. People talk about the consolation results enough to make going for it worthwhile. Min gets a trophy next to his team name on Yahoo for the whole season. Not giving up after the semis definitely paid off for him.
  22. TGD has Steve Pearce ranked 368th lol. Seems like we're ahead of the community on him. That is a lot of talent being offered.
  23. Okay it's trade #78 now. It wasn't posted in a Yahoo or Proboards thread so I missed it. Lester + Zimmerman is a lot of talent. Although both were later flipped for subpar returns.
  24. Hmm, I'll look into it. It was part of a Zimmerman trade.
