    Edwin has to hit to make any lineup work. right now Jose isn't getting much to hit and Ed is getting a steady diet of outside pitches that he refuses to hit the other way. that cuts the heart out of our offense Ed just thinks HR =$$$$$ opposite field doubles = $$

    Pillar has to have a nice off at some point and there are NO other options on the bench to cover CF.

    absolutely... better to bite the bullet this year and unload so we get some value back. being 15 games back in the end of june would get it done.

    last time Cards were in WS I think had something like 17 of 25 players from their own farm system

    that's a pretty good start to a rebuild already. Trick is trading mid season so we are not just letting everyone go. Saunders, EE, jose have value maybe Smoak, the rest are DFA candidates.

    swing at the ball that's shoulder high and don't bother cover the one that's clearly outer half... sigh. some of the jays just need to drive the ball the other way until pitchers stop pitching them outside.

    as long as the guy doesn't close his fists he's not really going to hurt you. A slap may sting but it's not going to do much damage unless he's a professional slapper. lol yes, it's a sport. most guys know that a curled hand is right before the guy swings if the person can hit at all. guys who are really scared will hold their fists curled tight all the time which is not a good idea. once Odor rocked Jose with two straight arms in the chest he should have at least been on the defensive. put up your guard and defend yourself at all times. If you can at least get your arms in the way the guy will never get a clean shot off to your head. Jose looked very dazed when he got clocked. Not sure if it was purely a surprise or if he was truly rocked. I think it's the later. his neck got snapped pretty hard. We don't know if he was wobbly because Beltre held him up for 5 minutes.

    I'd go the first weekend but I'm not in Stockholm till june. Since I have the chance to go to the Imax I'll take it.
