  1. so instead of the Fabio look he's going for Vanilla Ice?
  2. I really hope Drabek can find the strike zone.
  3. exactly, cant expect the stars to align again so soon.
  4. both are greater than OBP because we all know they dont matter. http://likegif.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/facepalm-gif-33.gif
  5. asking the wrong guy about the math. lol I'm sure yours is better than mine. my geometry is not going to be very relative. so the millwright will let the mathletes do the work on stats. I understand the results, but dont have the patience to work them out.
  6. Dickey wanted him. not sure, but if there was no promise made, why the hell is father time still on the team??
  7. blanco .172 Boni .224 Izturis .242 JPA .245 Lawrie - .256 Negrych would be a powerhouse at .264.
  8. hard when the GM comes out and publicly says that Bonifacio is a great player. bet AA is wishing he has kept his mouth shut on that one.
  9. I have no idea what Gibbons is thinking on that one. I like the Melky, Jose, Ed start to the lineup, but why Lind is not hitting 4th is beyond reasoning. maybe it's because moving Lind to 4th means they have 5 auto outs in a row and moving JPA up breaks the outs up? lol right now the team has a lot of guys who should be riding the pine for being mentally challenged, but the Jays dont have ANY bench options. it was brutal to hear AA and Gibbons come out and say that Bonifiasco was going to get more playing time after he had 1 good game at the plate. a broken clock is right twice a day, but I wouldn't want to plan my schedule after the time on a broken clock.
  10. I'd bet AA has more than 1 of those promises on the field.
  11. Thole up makes sense and can be done as long as AA didn't make one of his famous promises when he signed Blanco. I have no idea why AA thinks keeping players who dont perform gives him credibility. I'd think players respect the will to win more than making promises that are ridiculous, to players who should be begging to get a chance.
  12. DeRosa is probably the best option they have at second base. as sad as that is to point out, it's true. Izturis has a rubber arm with no accuracy and little range. Bonifacio cant read the ball off the bat, is slow to react and cant throw. right now the jays have absolutely no offense up the middle and Cobly is the only one that is not a wreck defensively. Bonifacio is such a rare asset. not often you can get a guy who is so colossally inept at so many positions and has almost no offense to make up for it. yikes...
  13. the only problem is that AA personally rubber stamped Bonifacio as the second coming and said the Miami deal "hinged" on him. so AA would have to openly take it in the butt for being stupid for anything to happen. he's more the excuse maker and chief type.
  14. with JJ and Happ gone, I could see it happening. it's gonna throw gas on a huge ego though.
  15. so your personal hate for the opposition is rated at 3 wins in 1 series? talk to AA about a contract. lol
  16. that's Russ Adams country
  17. Negrych .390 .4571 .051 Izturis .218 .242 .573 Boni .196 .224 .548 DeRosa .222 .302 .765 I know the numbers wont carry, but at what point does AA get his head out of his ass and admit he s*** the bed. not sure what scouts are telling him about Boni, but this needs to be fixed and the jays need to take a leap of faith. having a guy rake in AAA and being left there while all the MLB options at his position barely show up sends the wrong message to your system. hard work and success need to be rewarded and futility needs to be abandoned or put in a plastic bag and dropped in the lake. AA is cutting off his nose to spite his own face.
  18. what are the odds of him being in TO being the all star game?
  19. I'd like to see the math on that one. lol jays are getting about 1 good start avg for each time through the rotation, but the offense doesn't show up every day. the chance of both coming to any given game is slim at best. jays are 3rd in runs allowed 17th in runs scored 23 in OBP 22nd in avg 5th in HR they have only 1 shutout all year so, if the jays dont hit 5 HR a game, they dont win and this is a year where the offense is definitely all or nothing add in that TB have been crushing the ball for a month and Baltimore seems to have the jays number, the weak spot is ATL but that is only 2 games. not sure how that will add up to a .666 winning avg over the next 9 games. I'm not optimistic about the next few weeks.
  20. this is just too many days in a week without jays baseball. even if they are hard to watch, I hate not having games to watch. withdrawal is setting in I've seen some fans even developing a bad case of the shakes! http://www.oneupstudios.com/_Pics/AniGifBoobsShake.gif
  21. I predict a massive disappointment for jays fans, that will turn into an acceptance of the inevitable failure and eventually people will just collectively not give a s***. AA will blame injuries and no one will be held accountable. edit:hope they prove me wrong...
  22. LOL nothing would surprise me at this point. AA has such a boner for useless bullpen arms.
  23. Negrych will have a lesser negative value than whoever he replaces, but lesser negative is not necessarily a positive. lol
  24. DeRosa oppo taco for the win
  25. DeRosa is probably the best starting option defensively for 2nd. I'd start him against every leftie until the team gets a better option. they need to DH melky until he is healthy. put Ed in Left field. he will be better than a gimpy Melky and that way they can use Ed, Melky and Lind in the same lineup still...
