I didn't know we were sharing slots.... everything between 78 and 90 was pretty much taken... no way I see them under 78. So I'll stick with my plus side and hope for the best. -

I'll take 91. I think they will have better luck with health and the offense will make up for many of the bad starts that come. pen will be killer all year, so if they can get ahead they should take it home. -

I agree, if the royals have things fall right, they could be very good. Jays are in that boat as well. if the jays pitching has a healthy year, the Jays could surprise. The D should be great as well as long as they are healthy.

If Jose stays healthy this year he is going to have a monster year. Melky looks like he is going to be a monster too. this year there are a lot of guys who will be very likeable. it will all be based on how the team does. if they are winning, there wont be much to hate and the love fest will be on.

dont forget Matt Harvey on the list of JPA lovers. last year JPA had to fight with Bonifacio for hate last year. both were hyper arrogant for being so bad at their jobs.

teams cant kill their poster boy. that's just bad media management. for better or worse they have to ride Bautista out. he's been sold as the leader and Rogers has spent millions in the publicity so they wont turn that into negative press.

people hated thames and he was none of those things. lol he just got traded before the hate got too intense.

hard for them to bail on a guy the entire Rogers machine has pimped to the Canadian public for too long. he's been built up in the media as the messiah and I'm not sure how they could portray him as bad for the team without it being a black mark on the team.

great conspiracy theory and could happen, but only if the team is really struggling and Jose is part of that struggle. if he is hitting .300 and hitting a bomb every 12-15 AB there is nothing they can say that would sound credible.

Jose has looked pretty good this spring. he hasn't been as whiny as he had gotten the past couple of years. that would be a good trend. his whining carried over to other players last year.

it will be interesting to see the back end of some of the insane contracts that have been handed out lately. Pujols will be the team mascot the last years of his contract. I think the same will happen if Cabrera gets this deal.

McGowan will be a folk hero if he can make 20 starts without having body parts fall off.

Goins D will be outstanding. very different from having Bumfiasco playing s***** D to match his pathetic bat. how well does Goins have to hit for people to accept him?

that's a guy I wouldn't have expected.

I'm really enjoying watching Goins play D, but it will be intolerable if he hits under .200. Lind looks to have his head on straight this year, but fans will turn fast if he falls off offensively and the same goes for Sierra who will have to hit when he gets chances to play. I think Izturis is just unacceptable and the team is going to have to put up with him because AA gave him a stupid contract. like you said, if he plays too much, he's going to catch it.

Almost time for the new season to start and it's a good time to take a look at 2014. on almost every team there is a player that fans dont like. that person has been JPA for the jays over the last couple of years. who will be the player fans will hate on this year? both Diaz and Kawasaki are much better options that Izturis. Jeffress and Happ are lesser than other options the jays have. the only thing standing in the way of the team being better is AA not wanting to let guys go.

once you get half way in there is no logical reason to stop. AA got rid of Wells ridiculous contract and got Delebar for Thames.... those are two good moves. happ was a bad move. the Marlins trade was a snowball that got out of control.

starting with an 8 man pen just because AA cant get a deal done is pathetic. sacrificing a bench to keep a marginal pen arm is bad as well. they need to trade at least 1 pen arm and give Izturis away for a bag of balls.
