    I doubt any of the other umps make that call. how many times have we seen Stroman do exactly that and not have a call made? he was over zealous.

    it's not made because pitchers wait until the hitter gets in the box. lots of pitchers quick pitch but it's legal once the guy sets in the box. just because the ump is hyper to be super good doesn't mean he can just get jumpy.

    I'll bet the other umps take him aside after the game and tell him it's ********, but they can't change a "judgement call" after it's made.

    he's in the box and ready. now the home plate ump doesn't even know he's supposed to call the ball foul that went out before first base. this guy needs to never get called up to the majors again.

    same thing happens all the time and that call never gets called. it's so rare that Buck, who was a catcher in the majors and around baseball since the dinosaurs disappeared and he didn't know about it.

    hate f***ing judgement calls. Stroman does it a couple times an inning in every start and it has NEVER been called. some minor league ump comes up and tried to make a name for himself. f***ing dickhead

    first year ump from minors. wanna bet he called a rule that is from the minors.... question is why the crew chief didn't tell him he was wrong

    I'm pretty sure there is not balk rule without runners on base. a balk is due to a move meant to trick a base runner.

    I can see jays players getting tossed out. they are frustrated from being complete s*** and are most likely going to take it out on the umps.

    there is no balk with no runners on base illegal pitch is the only possibility because that would be a ball.
