  1. the day off was nice. not having to hear 3 hours of Tabler stupid is quite therapeutic.
  2. Gibbons knows this, but Navarro needs to be window shopped hoping he has a few good AB so maybe some drunk GM wants to trade for him.
  3. Smoak's defense has been great. Nice to have a true first baseman play the position.
  4. the forum hung up for a bit. lol I'll have to ban myself for being repetitive lol
  5. His leash is going to be very short. he's going to need to be lights out for at least 6 tomorrow... I dont see him being in the rotation next time around if he shits the bed tomorrow. At least that seems to be the general consensus.
  6. tick tock tick tock.... just a matter of time. That's the only thing that would make them hesitate taking Norris out of the rotation. they only have 3 starters... Stroman injury is killing us. piecing together 1 spot is hard, two is impossible.
  7. can do both. send him and down and then put him on the DL. kills two birds-.
  8. it's not the command that is worrying, it's the arm strength and MPH that are worrying. his velocity has taken a dive. His mechanics have not been good ether and that might be part of why he is getting the dead arm. Remember he is still working on a completely new delivery mechanic. that means building the muscles in a new way and it might be a little too much at one time.
  9. MRI will tell you if there is cellular damage... that's what they have them for.
  10. I'm with you on this one. the walking wounded policy is retarded. the body needs to heal when it's a true injury. muscle pain and cell damage are not the same. better to have 2 weeks without a player and have them 100% the rest of the year instead of at 75% for a month and then out for the rest of the year.
  11. being tired and actually having dead arm are not the same. building muscle means you break down the cells and rest them up to build tissue, having actual dead arm is a very bad thing and can lead to tears.... this tough it up s*** is BS. take it from a guy who has a tendon tear.
  12. the team only has 3 MLB level starters.... Norris isn't even one of them so the DL for a couple weeks would be the long term smart thing to do, but the word smart doesn't get thrown around a lot when referring to what AA has done with the pitching this year.
  13. I'm pretty sure it's called dead arm because you feel like your arm is just hanging lifeless and powerless. It's definitely not something try to work your way through.
  14. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_arm_syndrome The shoulder is unstable and dislocation may come next. Dead arm syndrome will not go away on its own with rest—it must be treated. If there is a SLAP lesion, then surgery is needed to repair the problem. If the injury is caught before a SLAP tear, then physical therapy with stretching and exercise can restore it.
  15. a bit?? hope we can get rid of Navarro and get another arm as well as have Santana be helpful in a month or so.
  16. We really need 2 out of 3 or better this series. Don't want to be falling too far behind when it seems to be fairly even so far in the division.
  17. we really have to beat the Os today.
  18. Game 14 Norris vs (RHP) Travis (2pts) - Donaldson (1pt) - Jonn Joey Bats (1pt) - E Rex (1pt) - Pillar (5pts) - Martin (3pts) - o2cui2i Smoak (2pts) - Pompey (4pts) - GD Goins (7pts) - Atothe Navarro (3pts) - Valencia (6pts) - Bench (8pts) -
  19. wow... that aint much to write home about.
  20. interesting read, thanks.... has to chuckle Dickey still does it when he's pitching.
  21. current content is the only thing that is relevant. It doesn't matter who people are thought to be... it is about being part of the community. As long as people keep within the parameters of tolerable community behavior they are welcome in the forum. What is tolerable is up to the mods and I think most of the mods are tired of the continuous call for bans and the whining all around. moderation toleration respect not enough of those things lately.
  22. asking for someone else to get banned is a good time for a ban????
  23. today I'm giving away a week at a time.... so let me know if you want to be on the list. lol
  24. ok... I just haven't seen anything written about it. I hope they are both close to 100% tuesday.
