    I was a baseball fan when I was a kid. For me it was the old Pirates teams with Willie Stargell and his stars that he gave players for making great plays. loved the flat top caps with the stars on them.     not ALL, but there is always residual effect that will turn some casuals into more dedicated fans.

    I really like that the team has had different guys stepping up to get it done. Goins 3 run bomb today, Smoaks salami on the weekend... we know the top 3 will produce a lot of our runs but it's not going to be every game. need all 9 guys to pitch in and that has been happening. the bottom half was getting on and moving the line last winning streak too.

    don't dare tell him the world is not flat. that and the fact that the jays had a monster trade deadline might be an information overload.

    if you wanted to be sure to have tickets now, you had to have faith earlier in the year and just buy them before the bandwagon started. Most people buy their tickets the day they are released. If you waited this long then it's kind of your fault? lol just sayin

    there are a lot of sports fans in Toronto starving for any kind of winning. the sport that feeds that hunger first will get more real fans. This is a huge opportunity for the Jays organization to get back into the top of attendance.

    if they jays go to the post season this year and can makes some good FA signings in the off season they could get back to the 4M+ attendance next year and that would be amazingly good for them financially.

    this was the exact game you use Loup for. 7 run lead in the 10th and we don't want to use anyone else. he has 6 runs to get 3 outs. Now we don't have to see him until we lead by 7-15 runs in the ninth inning of a game.

    I think you are being too harsh on him. lol I think he makes less that 20% bad decisions. The only time he had bad decisions was when we had a pen full of s***** pitchers. there wasn't a right decision to be made. once the team got rid of a few problems and brought in better relievers there wasn't a problem. the better the team, the less the manager matters and as you say, any monkey could manage the team we have now and not f*** it up. anyone can squeeze milk from a cow's tit, but you can't squeeze diamonds out a goats ass.
