the problem comes when it is the same posts every 2 minutes in the GDT. then you get 20 other people quoting that post and then posts about those posts.... it takes on a life of it's own and then there is no room for baseball discussion. we have a fire gibbons thread where people can vent almost all they like. there is a hate on AA thread as well. NO ONE has been banned for a single "this team sucks" comment. we all feel that way now and then.

we do this but it's really hard when 20 people quote the post. then it becomes very difficult to keep up.

give a pint of blue blood once a week for an entire season or donate to the forum.

and the mods can check post content to see patterns. let the mods take care of it and learn to use the ignore feature. not responding to trolls is something else that would help a lot. many times other people have trolls on ignore but still have to read their comments because so many put an effort into responding to trolls which just makes everything worse

we do have a venting thread. constant negativity is not conducive to a tolerable community. the same time you call for tolerance in the GDT you need to understand that a lot of people want to simply cheer for the jays and enjoy the games together with others who also want to talk baseball and enjoy the game. this guy sucks fire that guy DFA that guy ban mods gibbons is an idiot these things can be left for some place other than the GDT

we have asked for a 24 hour wait for people to be able to post. it's up to admin to institute it or not.
