I'm not against Pompey, but if they do bring him north they need to get him regular AB. pace Saunders, Give Jose the odd game off from the outfield, let Pillar sit against some righties. I'd be worried that Gibby runs the same guys out every day.

not every baseball player is a rocket scientist.... throw, hit, catch... don't do anything completely stupid on the field and you could play a decade ago.

which leaves 62 for who? I know we have options, but it will be interesting to see who they go with as the 4th outfielder any chance we can start the season with a 4 man bench with people who can actually play above replacement? Thole is one, maybe Barny as the infield guy... then who?

last 10 days of ST are when you can start putting a little stock into what is happening on the field. that's when you start looking for the team to form and all the regulars are just about playing full games.

if he can stay healthy and play say 140 games he's a game changer for us... and Bruce mostly sucks moose balls. Saunders is worth the risk since we have depth.

as long as Saunders is healthy he is a great LF option. solid D and a bat that stretches out an already great offense.
