What happens when it's true, though? When a guy isn't providing substance and is obviously someone else, he shouldn't stick around. I'm all for giving people second chances but if they're being disruptive then it's justified.

You think he's gonna be a +25 Fld guy for his career? lol Steamer has him at 2.1 fWAR/150 and ZiPS has him at 2/150 and that's much more reasonable

It's not impossible, absolutely. But the question is, what's the mean production for guys with that output and how many real success stories are there? We have a couple, Halladay and Shark, but there have been thousands of flame outs in MLB history obviously.

DJ Davis needs to be hitting for a 140 wRC+ as a 21 year old at A ball to have a league average bat. He is at 81.

NH's bats are horrible. Flores is okay, Jimenez is trash/a bust/a trashy bust, Burns is playing like s***, etc. Their only legit hitter is Schimpf, who really deserves a promotion ffs, and Fermin and Mesa have started off hot. Everyone else is pretty trash.

I know. "Wanted Fernandez (I thought he'd be a good 2/3... lol), Gray and Cron from 2011". I found that out later, I was just getting into the draft, but I liked Giolito by far the most. That was a kick in the nuts.
