Blue Jays fans rejoice: oft-injured veteran starter Max Scherzer is throwing off a mound again and is well on the path to returning to a mound in Toronto. Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet reported that Scherzer threw roughly half a simulated start in his next step to return to the Blue Jays. Scherzer injured his thumb in his first and only start on March 29 of the season. The Jays could use Scherzer's help to stabilize their rotation.
