I had very high hopes for Lawrie coming into the year, but now he looks like a candidate to go full Ackley/Moustakas/Beckham. This year looks like a complete writeoff.

 

Yeah I no longer expect anything from him offensively. What a shame.

I'd like to think that this time the team will use the excuse of his being injured to let him rehab for a good stretch. Hopefully the team continues to climb towards .500 and they don't feel the need to rush him like they did earlier in the year with him and Romero.

Remember when there was a serious debate on the old forum regarding Lawrie vs. Trout... and taking Lawrie was actually defensible?

 

And now Brett Lawrie is Eric Chavez without the good years.
