Bautista is 3rd in wOBA and 5th in WAR since 2010, yet people talk about him like he is not a legitimate superstar. What more does the guy have to do?

I disagree. Miguel cabrera is maybe the worst defensive 3b in the majors and hes the reigning AL MVP. Guys who can hit are superstars and Bautista is hitting as good as anyone in the league right now save maybe Miggy or Chris Davis. Its a hitters league.

Is he the kind of guy you 100% build your franchise around? Debatable. Bat has really come around this year. He's smoking the ball lately.
