Our defensive alignments suck

The Rays have made 4-5 additional outs tonight because of smart defensive alignments... whereas our infielders are pretty much in the same spot on every play. We look like a 90's baseball team out there using Ye Olde positioning: 3 steps to the left for a lefty, 3 steps to the right for a righty.

 

Let's be honest we lost a valuable infield coach when we lost Butterfield to the BoSox. But how hard is it to look at spray charts and determine where to place your fielders... I mean seriously, this is just bad baseball.
