  1. You're taught as a kid to take an out to avoid the throw at home, trade a run for an out. It was simply the case, I think.(I need to see it again)
  2. Nah... Montero hit that well, though.
  3. Casual fan, man. FIP busters continue to beat it by defense, trick pitches(knuckleball), and pinpoint control.(Beuhrle, Keuchel, etc...) RA9 is out there to measure these facts.
  4. No, it doesn't, even the GG wouldn't move the needle that much with concerns to his bat.
  5. I can't wait to hear our payroll parameters this year... they certainly have to be meticulous in there acquisitions. I believe this FO can do it.
  6. This isn't how it works, Jonn.
  7. Thanks, that's how I think they'll move around this gap, also.
  8. So you agree they should overhaul this team, now? Plus you're cherry picking guys age and talent between 32 and 35 is very effective, that's not right.
  9. Was just going to post this... they push the age through the roof, it really isn't a fair thing to be flinging around.
  10. Surprised no-one has commented on this yet... he's played a whopping 4 innings in his career out there? Personally... I like it, the bat is too good to have on the bench, wind's blowing out and there should be plenty of bombs tonight. Or Francona looks like a mutt and a play in LF is the difference in the game... any thoughts on this?
  11. Carlos Santana playing LF tonight. 1. Carlos Santana (S) LF 2. Jason Kipnis (L) 2B 3. Francisco Lindor (S) SS 4. Mike Napoli ® 1B 5. Jose Ramirez (S) 3B 6. Lonnie Chisenhall (L) RF 7. Roberto Perez ® C 8. Tyler Naquin (L) CF 9. Josh Tomlin ® P 1. Dexter Fowler (S) CF 2. Kris Bryant ® 3B 3. Anthony Rizzo (L) 1B 4. Ben Zobrist (S) LF 5. Willson Contreras ® C 6. Jorge Soler ® RF 7. Javier Baez ® 2B 8. Addison Russell ® SS 9. Kyle Hendricks ® P
  12. No one's condoning drinking and driving/boating, etc... they made a poor decision on going out on the water when the water was rough and with very little visibility, not to mention if they were intoxicated or not, they payed with their lives. Where's your empathy? People make mistakes kid, it's tragic, please climb down off your soapbox is all BTS is saying. s*** happens, this is life. If some of your drunk friends are out drinking and you're not around, slam into a wall and all die you'd be singing a different tune, rather than pointing fingers and calling them scumbags... Jesus man, you're making me nauseous, we get it...Shut Up, please.
  13. So who then? You can stop dreaming on Castro, he isn't going to come here and play under Martin, he'll get a FT gig. Slim pickings bro... unless we trade, but why for a back-up catcher. I see Mathis and Conger that are good defensively with a half decent bat. Alex Avila (30) Drew Butera (34) Jason Castro (30) Hank Conger (29) A.J. Ellis (36) Ryan Hanigan (36) — $3.75MM club option with an $800K buyout Nick Hundley (33) Chris Iannetta (34) — $4.25MM club option Jonathan Lucroy (31) — $5.25MM club option with a $25K buyout Jeff Mathis (34) Dioner Navarro (33) A.J. Pierzynski (40) Wilson Ramos (29) Carlos Ruiz (38) — $4.5MM club option with a $500K buyout Jarrod Saltalamacchia (32) Geovany Soto (34) Kurt Suzuki (33) Matt Wieters (31)
  14. My point is wait for the truth, even then, who cares... they're all dead from a tragic accident that was easily avoidable. We can't bring any of it back.
  15. Guys... Jaysblue has tickets!
  16. I really like this idea... JD would be crazy not to take that.
