I don't want him King, that's apparent. As is Hundley. I'm talking about playing time windows. We're better staying in-house and using that money on a better asset.
Your latter point, is bang on. We have depth... in Jiminez/McGuire or Ohlman. If Martin goes down long term we're f***ed regardless. They'd have to trade.
Plawecki would cost a good penny... Clevenger is AJ... Hanigan is good behind the plate, you know I always liked him, but why pay when you can likely get the same thing from AJ... relative to WAR. I don't see any upside or difference in those names.
Yup, Thole was dealt a bad deal following RA around, no repetitive games played, minimal action, that's really tough in the MLB. It made him some decent money, but not a chance to break through, if he could.
Who? His defense is as called by the FO elite. So, seriously, who?
whom here would be better...
Steve Clevenger (31)
Hank Conger (29)
Ryan Hanigan (36)
Nick Hundley (33)
Dioner Navarro (33)
Brayan Peña (35)
A.J. Pierzynski (40)
Jarrod Saltalamacchia (32)
Kurt Suzuki (33)
Josh Thole (30)
Matt Wieters (31)
I'd rather Moss over guys like that, too. Valbuena would be better, but lets see where this FO goes from here. Wins are Wins... we can all agree on that.
Meh, I'd take the SO out and let them play 3 on 3 for 10 minutes all day... if it ends in a tie, so be it. The latter part of your post will end up being an end result, regardless... when they play the full 82 games. Right now I look at the Leafs in 2nd considering that point.
What's wrong with those guys, do tell? It isn't lightning in a bottle save for, maybe Sparkman. I did reiterate getting another arm, but you're cherry picking my post. Not to mention it's now only January the 17th.
This, there's nothing on the FA that would be better than AJ. Not back-up's anyway... Ianetta wouldn't want to play behind Martin, he see's a window at much more playing time.
I understand what you're saying... but do you want ties back? I think they should award a regulation/overtime win with 3 pts and a SO win with 2 and the loser getting 1 in the other cases, something of that ilk. They still use ROW's as a tiebreak to get into the playoffs.
