Ya probably not a big deal either way especially when the Jays chances of winning this game rely so heavily on how well the iffy bullpen pitches. -
Just save him for game 5. All these secret plans make me nervous when Schneider can't help himself from making a move when that move is available.

Sure but I think it's very much the way the Jays lost game 3 that's playing a big role in all the bad mojo.

There was also a quote from Davis Schneider before game 3 where he said something to the effect that the off day was good because Springer needs rest cause he's old. Springer is definitely not at 100% Edit for the actual tweet:

It doesn't seem smart to me to game plan a plan that will have Varland facing Judge when Judge has 3 homers in 6 at bats against him. I know Judge likely has great stats against lots of our guys and it's hard to avoid him but c'mon right???? I guess I'm saying I hope they plan to be smart and intentionally walk him in the right spots...

The bullpen has put up great games together before. I don't see why they can't do it tomorrow.

I think Springer is actually hurting or something. There's no other reason for him to be DH'ing while Santander plays the field. Hopefully he can put a good game together in game 4.

I think the Jays have some reliable arms it's just they get yanked so fast that you are guaranteed to see the less than reliable arms also pitch.

Ya Schneider should have clearly called off Barger.....but I got to say Barger has to absolutely 100% make that catch the way he was adamantly calling for it. This game is so aggravating because it feels like the Jays are beating themselves.

holy f***.. I just read that Judge now has 3 homers against Varland in 6 plate appearances. How the f*** did they pitch to him. Judges stats vs. Varland before that homer.
