You can defend Espinal and Schneider as much as you want, but replacing Whit as Espinal at 2B was a mistake and clearly costed us.

Sure, but even looking at his other defensive stats like DRS and URS, Whit is clearly a better defender than Espinal. I didn't even count on tonight's game.

Espinal is a worse 2nd baseman this season. I agree he was a great 2B last year, but in this year, his OAA proves that he's not capable of defending instead of Whit at 2B.

I don't think Swanson was bad as the stat line shows tonight. If Chappy fielded the ball and Vladdy and Espinal didn't make a silly mistake, it would've been a victory.

We basically play Espinal for his defensive ability, but he's been a pretty ass at second base. There's no point in playing him anymore if he's not good at both batting and fielding.

Espinal is not a great fielder anymore sadly... His OAA is -3 as a second baseman and is worse than Whit as a second baseman.

Then I guess Schneider's obsession to pull the starters too early is really costing us lately.
