    so where do we trade Jansen now? At this point it looks like he’s gonna be starting in AAA with Kirk starting and Moreno as the back up in the majors(barring an injury). Atkins has completely messed up this off season and made this team worse.

    Jansen is worth a mediocre bull pen arm or bench player(Stuart Fairchild for example). Nothing more.

    If this org values Jansen so highly that they are seeking a Nootbaar level trade asset Jansen will be the third string catcher on this team until he hits free agency. That’s a fact.

    Stuart Fairchild would be a great get in a Danny Jansen trade maybe Jansen plus Doughty would get it done.

    Yeah a 24 year old left handed outfielder coming off a 3 WAR season that plays great defense, great base running, get on base, have big pop, great makeup and hits the ball hard is trash 👍

    O’Neill is a year removed from almost a 6 WAR season. Even in a down year he wasn’t far from Jansens career year. Burleson is a top 100 prospect getting him for a player who arguably fits best as a back up catcher is a great get. I’m a blue jays fan but the delusional value that some of you put on Jansen drives me nuts. Nootbaar in essentially his rookie season was better than any year in Jansens career. Also the team control difference and age. No chance Jansen is netting him.

    You aren’t getting Nootbaar for that package. Cardinals wouldn’t benefit at all selling low on arguably their best young player. O’Neil for Jansen plus a prospect or Jansen for Burleson swap is far more realistic.
