  1. Springs is a good pitcher hope we have some magic up our sleeves for this one
  2. What in the f*** is Teo actually even doing in the OF
  3. I'm still confused whether he'd be available for post season mind you
  4. I do think the shift changes provide some benefit to hitters. Right now the shift favors pitchers because they also pitch to the shift. That should change. Also Joey Gallo is probably crying tears of relief
  5. That's a swing path issue. When Vladdy slumps like this his swing path is broken
  6. Goddamn I hope the Pearson of the 2020 WC/ 2021 September is available. That is a monster multi inning arm that significantly improves an already stabilized RP lineup.
  7. The team really seems to be putting it all together right now. After a rough August overall capped off by tough losses vs the Angels I'm feeling a ton better about them. The rotation and bullpen has been great for well over a month now and it seems like the offense is fullly alive. September is going to be fun and I think we're getting to the point where those early season expectations are coming to fruition. Also f*** Odor
  8. Bass has not been good anytime he's been put into the closer role. Why re-write the book when they have Romano who is nails as closer, and Jimi not far behind in high leverage effectiveness. Also complaining about using Romano in a 4 run game against a team that has a lot of late inning heroics is a weird hill to stand on.
  9. And everyone breathes a big sigh of relief on the back of Stripling's outstanding performance and George f***ing Springer doing his thing to rally the troops.
  10. Good team playing with 0 expectations. Going to need some SP when you're not playing the Jays. Rutschman looks like a star and the bullpen is solid. Looking like you'll be a threat for several years with outstanding front office Mountcastle should be traded to Korea mind you.
  11. Kikuchi in the pen sighting.
  12. I'm aware. Using a 2.5 month sample to explain a multi-day lineup shuffle isn't terribly useful. I think it's more about shaking things up for a different look on the whole and trying to get Chapman going again after an awful August to-date.
  13. The lineup is interesting today. 1. Chapman 2. Guerrero 3. Gurriel 4. Kirk 5. Hernandez 6. Bichette 7. Tapia 8. Espinal 9. Jansen
  14. The better teams have game planned vs the offense and executed that game plan so effectively. This team can either adjust on the fly or watch the season go down in flames. It's pretty simple.
  15. I think they need to pull some more groundballs tonight.
  16. The fundamental mistakes this team is making game after game have made them nearly unwatchable.
  17. Living on the inside third time through seemed like a bad idea. It was.
  18. Interesting to see Bo in the 7-spot. I like that Schneider isn't afraid to work things around where it might be needed. I don't dislike Kirk hitting 4th either. Hope it kickstarts the offense. Keep the line moving tonight boys.
  19. Definitely an underrated acquisition for Atkins.
  20. Kikuchi aside because he's not a SP a contending team should have in the rotation and I think that becomes true now, this offense seems very easy for pitchers to game plan against. When you can just pitch an honest game with the attitude of " you're going to have to beat me rather than me beat you" it makes life far too easy on rotations and defenses. The better teams are exposing that quickly here. There is a lot to fix it feels like.
