  1. Getting the hunch that Espinal's hot start was a bit more of a mirage than reality, the past month has been more atypical of a #8 hitter he doesn't really belong up at #2. But then again this lineup has four #8-9 hitters in it I guess they can't all bat in those slots.
  2. The jokes are Shatkins and Montoyo, the players can't help that they suck but the GM and manager can help them hop a plane to Triple AAA or ride the bench and wait to pinch run
  3. New approach, get to 3 strikes because 3 is more than 2
  4. I remember that yes, then he took a week off and came back and that's the last I've read about any issues. Either way he's playing like utter crap, if he IS hurt they should put him on the IL I'm sure someone else could fill in and do better than 2 for 36. After seeing Gilbert again last night it just solidifies that I'd rather have him than Buxton regardless.
  5. Go figure I shut it off and went to do something else for 30 minutes and they score 2 runs, as soon as I put it back on Merryweather hits the leadoff batter
  6. I can't even watch this anymore I'm so tired of this garbage hitting almost every game
  7. Sure hope so, picked him up a few days ago after someone dropped him. Had him on the bench today of course though
  8. I have Ohtani on my fantasy team, you're welcome. That's the only logical reason I can come up with why that's not a 2 run HR
  9. This scrub Renifo has been bashing the Jays staff this whole series
  10. It's pretty sad when we can say Zimmer looks better at the plate than Biggio. How much leash are they going to give this guy? His stint back down in the minors certainly hasn't helped anything
  11. This guy only throws 5-6 pitches an inning he could go 12 if it's tied
  12. Maybe he can take a shot at hitting coach too, can't do any worse..
  13. Well it worked so well for Jansen to swing at the first pitch the rest of them might as well follow suit
  14. Incredible, every at bat I've seen of Biggio he's had a one strike count and watched a fastball go right down the middle for strike 2. You probably shouldn't have a "patient" hitting approach when you whiff 50 % of the time.
  15. 1st and 3rd one out foul pop up to the catcher on the first pitch, so predictable. Again I'm sorry...........
  16. Buxton hasn't been hurt, they just sit him every 3rd or 4th game trying to delay his inevitably getting hurt. Or maybe he is and they just aren't announcing it but as far as I know he's perfectly healthy right now and he's 2 for his last 36 with no HRs hitting .199 on the season and only has 1 stolen base. I'd rather have Gilbert if I could pick between the 2 right now
  17. Surprised he didn't throw Biggio out there again too, it's really amazing that Jansen has 6 HRs in 33 at bats and he continues to put him 8th in lieu of a guy who has 6 having played every game this season or a guy who has 2 in 79 at bats. Gurriel 2nd?? .221 with 2 HRs in 140 at bats, that would warrant being in the 9 hole for most teams
  18. What are the odds he managed to slip by without getting caught last year on some horse steroids? He signed a 1 year deal and knew if he had one big season he'd be hauling in hundreds of millions for it. Unless he just forgot how to hit in the offseason something stinks here, I thought it was bad when Brady Anderson went from 50 HRs to 18 the next year this is on a whole new level. ZERO??? I think most pitchers in the league would have ONE by now if they got 4 at bats every game
  19. My apologies in advance my fantasy team is just about dead last in HRs so I picked up Jansen, with my usual fantasy luck that means his HRs are pretty much gone now until I drop him again
  20. Yep he'll be unavailable tomorrow after 30+ pitches in this inning, Montoya is such an idiot
  21. Every scrub in this lineup has a hit or two meanwhile Trout and Ohtani nothing
