    Taking a step back, even if what Atkins said was 100% true, he went about it in an extremely toxic and self serving way. It is clear to any observer that his priority is protecting himself above all else. His words today will undoubtedly impact the culture of this team going forward, and can only be resolved if he is fired. From today onwards, every coach/player will know that this front office will protect itself first and foremost when facing adversity. I'm sure that will do wonders for the on field product.
