  1. Can't wait to see Greinke v. Scherzer, Sanchez and Corbin
  2. You guessed right. They said in the broadcast that with the exception of NFL football it's never happened in any of the major professional sports before (MLB, NHL, and NBA).
  3. Greinke with his hood over his head and that weird screwface he does, he looks a lot like Beavis when puts his t-shirt over the back of his head turns into Cornholio.
  4. Yeah, Smoltz was saying the same thing, that pitchers and infielders are taught to throw at the runner in order to take advantage of this stupid rule.
  5. It's not like he saw the glove and tried to knock it out. He arrived at the same time as the ball did.
  6. Trea Turner calling out Joe Torre "... he's right there!... why's he got his head down?... just ask him!"
  7. Because he made it back in line by the time he stepped on the bag.
  8. Terrible call right there. Should be some sort of review process for this kind of nonsense.
  9. And Corbin has Sanchez to back him up, too.
  10. I love how he carried the bat to first just like Bregman did!
  11. What is it with these 2-out walks in this game... Strasburg sitting at 53 pitches through nearly four innings is actually really impressive, especially against the Astros.
  12. That kind of self-deprecation is much funnier than your pedantic nitpicking
  13. That FO had a very good run. Coonelly, Huntington, Hurdle, and even pitching coach Ray Searage all helped build the Pirates into an NL combination of the A's and Rays—player development, international signings, resource allocation, and then also pioneers in shifting, pitch design, and sequencing. The three years in a row they made the postseason, they averaged well over 90 wins. They fell off largely because of payroll limitations. MLBTR made an interesting point about the Archer trade... Certainly not as bad a FO as the results would suggest.
  14. Not to mention that the Blue Jays lost money again for the third straight year. https://www.forbes.com/mlb-valuations/list/#header:operatingIncome https://www.statista.com/statistics/829623/toronto-blue-jays-operating-income/ And that number is before paying taxers, paying interest on debt, distributing dividends to investors, etc., so it's even more of a loss.
  15. Can't wait for robo-umps!
  16. I'm calling it right now: Expos win Tuesday behind Strasburg and then Wednesday they'll pitch Scherzer, Sanchez, and Corbin to win it in game 7.
