    Agreed. He's a lifelong Blue Jay minor L. player. But Biggio must also wonder what more he has to do. He played well last year, and then Shapiro signs Semien which must have made Biggio question what place is left for him on the team (if any)

    The problem is umps are protected by their union. They could make a hundred s***** calls per game and it would still be virtually impossible to fire them, or send them down to AAA. I think they would practically have to be charged with murder before MLB can fire them, and even that I'm not sure about EDIT: I see one ump was fired back in 2013 for falling drugs tests
