If you listen to the man, he knows what he is doing. There is just a certain level of clarity and confidence. I didn't know Shapiro's background was in player development, The approach, the smoothness, but most importantly the understanding that you never ever panic. You have to see the plan through. People forget that he didn't just rebuild an Indians team once, he did it twice.
