    Reminds me a lot of when intelligent posters pointed out that Sanchez cant be competitive walking 5/9 Teoscar Hernandez struck out 36 percent of the time in the second half. Its the same thing. You cannot strike out at that rate and be successful over the long term

    We can already see this with Didi and Gausman. Teams are not going to want to pay luxury taxes. Their budgets are determined by owners who didnt get rich being stupid

    In my opinion it actually works the other way for the mid level guys. We think that if the top level guys get more the mid level guys will get more as well but team budgets and luxury tax ceilings are the same. Cole getting 36 mil a year is great for the top tier free agents but the mid guys are not impacted by this change. The amount of overall money for mlb player hasnt changed.
