  1. lol this isnt going to change this will become the norm basic reasoning more playoff games equal more money.
  2. too bad they aren't a hockey team then the Canadian gov would have given their go ahead. Gotta protect the good old boys.
  3. Just play all games on the road
  4. $200 Orioles over $200 Yankees under $100 Braves over
  5. read the rules then did you?
  6. I like our chances to compete for a playoff spot and play meaningful baseball
  7. it's much easier to hate grown men making millions for throwing a ball around then to hate individuals and congratulates that have made their money through business and hard work
  8. would love to a season consisting entirely of replacement players
  9. covid is putting struggling businesses out of businesses looks like it might do that for Baseball too. Good luck generating interest after going away for a year we all know how 1994 worked out and this time there won't be a steroid filled home run chase
  10. yep nba or nfl can sustain a situation like this. mlb players dont have enough fame. casual fans arent even missing the league
  11. How about this Cancel this season. start the strike next year. come back in 2025 with a new set of young players
  12. Blake Snell crying like a baby online. f*** him and f*** the rest of the players. shut this s*** down
  13. f*** the mlbpa. you know what people are working hard to make a few extra bucks and you cant throw a ball around for millions. will be glad if there is no season
  14. of all the sports baseball has the weakest positioning. basketball has the greatest social media presence, hockey has a hardcore following and is already niche and NFL will hardly lose anything baseball players need to think it through before they make stupid statements about compensation. this might be the year to take what you can get and take millions to chase a ball around the field. every year the baseball fanbase gets older. the game is slow to begin with. Take baseball out of the public eye for an year and I wouldn't be surprised if the fanbases get cut in half. I'd get the season going as soon as I can if I had any stake in this even if you have to play in the Dominican.
  15. I'm also no one commented on the rumored three divisions. I think a lot of the games will be played at the Roger's center in October. if the season goes late you would want to be in a dome.
  16. baseball heavily depends on tickets revenue unlike basketball. take that revenue away and no team can have a payroll of even 100 million
  17. no chance. Roger's will be looking for huge payroll cuts. across the board payroll cuts all over mlb. wouldnt be surprised if a scenario plays out where teams have the ability to void current contracts. losing one year of profits can be devastating but worse yet, as 1994 showed us losing a full year of baseball means saying bye bye to certain fans.
  18. so are mlb players getting paid right now?
  19. I'd much rather have a 2 month season in August and September with an expanded October playoff
  20. Youre looking at June or July and an 80 game season
