    Well yeah, but that's implied in "biased and opinionated". It would be more helpful if people would note specific cases of gender discrimination (and, maybe, take a stand against it themselves) instead of just lamenting about it's existence. Platitudes about equality aren't going to get us very far. So how about those White Sox yesterday? Impressive.

    This is a thoughtful post, but it's interesting that you smacked someone for being biased and opinionated, only to follow that up with being biased and opinionated. "Some of the best students are females" and "males are treated better than females" are not exactly rigid scientific points, and the latter is a little bit hard to believe when weighing the consequences of men mistreating women in the workplace in 2018.

    I see nothing wrong with a woman becoming a scientist. I also see nothing wrong with a woman staying at home and raising a family. This concept is called freedom. That Mariners/Indians game was fun.

    I clicked on this thread for baseball news and found someone saying stupid s*** about gender differences. I don't really regret giving my opinion. It's a pretty dangerous ideology than needs to be pushed back against whenever it pops up.

    Deadpool, if your parents and teachers were forcing you into an occupation at 8 years old, I apologize and I sincerely feel bad for you. You were raised by some really s***** people if that's the case.

    Uh, again, when I was 8 years old I don't remember being browbeaten into which jobs I should or shouldn't go into. That's not how most kids are raised at that age.

    As a former boy, I don't remember boys being told to go into STEM when I was eight, either. Usually we were just going to third grade class and playing with our friends.

    There's far more evidence that women simply don't gravitate towards those jobs than of some mysterious systemic discrimination against women. I know plenty of women who make a lot more than I do in healthcare, for instance. Am I entitled to their money and status?

    I'm one of the sanctimonious Americans who voted for neither candidate. I actually think I would vote for Trump if I could go back in time. Hillary has been nothing but an atrocious human being in defeat. I think we got the lesser of two evils, frankly.

    I enjoy watching Tredeau being interviewed because he's such a spectacular dumbass, but yeah, I'd hate to be at the whim of that maniac right now. At least our terrible Presidents aren't around for very long.

    I do think it's funny how pitchers can range from looking like linebackers to looking like accountants. Very diverse.
