    First off it wasn’t a slur and if anyone was upset, it’s manufactured outrage. Bottom line, the pitchers pitch better than he hits, regardless of whether a few snowflake fans think Pillar is a big meanie.

    Do we really think Cain is considering the Jays? I think Granderson is the OF they’ll sign and they believe he gets them through the year.

    Not having a better option sums up the entire organsiation. I still contend, if they truly desire to compete, they need a top of the rotation pitcher and slide any of the other chaps down.

    Someone will have to be the 5th starter and it may as well be him. Granted, I t’s all moot until they find a number 1 guy anyway.

    Can they contend with him? Were they better in 2015 during his MVP season? They were close, in appearance only, but a still a long way from even getting to the WS. They’ve been on a steady decline ever since Shapiro arrived.

    All I can see is fire.....I live near a lot of Card fans who are really hoping a deal is made.

    The Donaldson rumours won’t go away and you know what they always say, “where’s there’s fire there’s surely going to be some smoke”.....I just hope Shapiro can get some value for JD

    I forgot about that tidbit. It’s unlikely he’ll sign long term with the Jays.

    I’m new here. First day on the job, a lot of things would have to right in order to make that team a contender. First off, Travis would have to play 120 games. I’m of the opinion they should be tearing down this roster and adding to the farm system. Trade Donaldson and Smoak now,while they have value.
