    I do hope the Yankees contacted Marcus Stroman prior to making this trade. #communication. On a serious note, that’s the AL East sown up for next 5 years then especially when the Yankees get Harper next year.

    Be silly to trade anyone now. Wait for contending teams to overpay in June/July. Will make a killing on Donaldson. Estrada would be a rental for someone. Would struggle to shift Tulo and Martin due to their contracts. In terms of "win now", id give us every chance to win something by changing the hitting coach and take a new approach. In a couple months I'd bring up Pompey and Tellez (assuming he continues to play well), to bring in some youth and give them some real game action.

    I still think we may get EE. This is a solid move. Take the EE factor out fans would be happier with this move. If and it's a big if and EE re-signs and we get Reddick, this is a better team even without Bautista. Frankly whilst I appreciate what JB has done for the Jays, now I think he is a distraction in the clubhouse. Just need some bullpen help and job done if Reddick and EE sign. We will surely trade Donaldson next winter if he can't be extended?

    I still think EE could sign. This a decent move, Morales offensive numbers will likely lift in a hitter friendly park. Any baseball fan will see the logic behind this move. If Reddick signs that's 2 decent replacements for EE and Joey Bats. The worst part is seeing as seeing Smoak play a lot at 1B with a poor bat. Any moves made would be difficult to replace the numbers EE put up. I'd be concentrating on signing Estrada and Donaldson to extensions now which will soften the loss of EE and Joey Bats if that is the case.

    Bautista's problem is he thinks he can be the player he was 5 years ago. Not gonna happen. Arm is gone so you're not going to pay 25m a season for a DH. . I can see the Jays keeping EE as I believe he wants to stay and would be more willing to negotiate where as JB will hold out.

    EE will def get the better contract. As much as I love Joey Bats, he said he won't decline but he has this season. I appreciate he has had injuries if I was Shatkins though I'd be locking up EE over JB. We won when JB was out of the lineup so not as concerned with him leaving than Edwin.

    This is awful although could be another project like Estrada though given the right coaching. Francisco Liriano 6-11 ERA over 6.30 will get lit up in the dome. Would've rather kept Hutchison based on these numbers but time will tell.

    Well with Sanchez going to bullpen it's going to come down to which RA Dickey we have for the run in. Really Awful Dickey or Really Awesome Dickey. mind you with this offence a Rather Average Dickey may do.

    Yeah I have but with time difference only catch weekend games really. Buy the playoffs obviously was up until 2 am watching us win the east against the Orioles last year lol

    It's gonna be Santana isn't it? Then I guess bring Danny Barnes up for the Pen. Tulo to DL or Benoit DFA? to make space for Barnes.

    I'd have taken Santiago as a solid number 5 if we got Smith too.

    Estrada said not perfect but feels ok. Still pitching well. I did worry when he dove the other day mind. If he say he can go, you let him. You want your top guys out there as much as possible. Got 10 FA's at end of the season. Not saying we rebuild next year but team will likely be weaker offensively so need to take advantage of solid pitching.

    6 man rotation an awful idea, you get loss quality starts from Happ and Estrada. Especially with Red Sox (assuming they're loading up) need best pitchers going out there as much as possible.

    Joe Smith and Hector Santiago from Angels surely wouldn't cost much? Not sure what you give up. I assume Hutchison and prospects? Although will need Hutch next season when Dickey goes at end of season.

    Could do a 2015 Stroman and be brilliant when/if he comes back this season? I'd assume prepare him for Playoffs?

    Hi all, Just got in from work here in the UK. Just catching up with news... So looks like Santana or Hellickson then? Just seen Jay Bruce to Mets. Reddick and Hill is a kick in the bollocks mind. Market looking a bit thin! If Bosox get Sale we may as well concentrate on wildcard.

    We queued up at 9am for the Jose Reyes bobble head a couple of seasons ago. This one I'd be there at 8.
