  1. I just hope they maintain the perks. I feel like they took for granted that deposits have been paid and expect that fans won't want to walk from their deposits, especially on the lower-priced seats.
  2. Definitely see what you are saying, but they are kind of screwing season ticket holders over. The price break from flex pack to seasons is smaller in absolute value and even worse in relative value. If you were wondering pricing for individual games it looks like it is out, albeit you have to find it in a round about way at the moment. I found it through the group sales link. http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/tor/ticketing/group_tickets_seating_map.jsp#hdrTab1 2016 Premium Game Ticket Pricing Section Box Office Field Level Infield $77.00 200 Level Infield $77.00 Field Level Bases $58.00 200 Level Bases $58.00 100 Level Outfield $42.00 200 Level Outfield $36.00 500 Level $20.00 2016 Premium Games: All Red Sox games All Royals games All Yankees games All Friday, Saturday, and Sunday games Home Opener Canada Day Game 2016 Regular Game Ticket Pricing Section Box Office Field Level Infield $65.00 200 Level Infield $65.00 Field Level Bases $49.00 200 Level Bases $49.00 100 Level Outfield $32.00 200 Level Outfield $27.00 500 Level $16.00
  3. I agree for most sections the increase isn't massive, but look at the 500's. Last year is was only $810 ($10/ ticket) and so this year it is up by 40% ($320 per ticket). This 40% is on top of over 25% increase from 2014 to 2015!
  4. How is 10 million (vs. 15.8) a "small paycut?!?!"
  5. There is often a delay between the deal being signed and it being made public.
  6. "Matt Wieters accepts Orioles’ $15.8M qualifying offer" http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/report-wieters-accepts-orioles-qualifying-offer/ Interesting that there have been no accepted QO's until this year, and this year there are 2 so far, with time left for others to accept as well. Do you think this will affect teams' QO decisions in the future?
  7. He seems to blame his decision to retire early in part on playing on the turf in Toronto... http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/03/colby-rasmus-discusses-his-future.html
  8. I don't think @TBJ12 is suggesting he retire, but rather that he has made a lot of money for a player at his age-- and now has a huge contract relative to his productivity.
  9. I know it's never happened before, but have to say, if anyone was going to take a qualifying offer I figured it would be Rasmus. Anyone surprised by this? http://m.mlb.com/news/article/157183486/colby-rasmus-accepts-qualifying-offer
  10. Hey everyone. I hope you are as excited as I am for the 2016 season-- hopefully the Jays can build on what was really a fantastic year! I will be getting season tickets for 2016 (500-level right behind the plate) and would love to know if anyone is interested in taking up to half the season (maximum). If you're interested please let me know!!!
