  1. And condolences for your loss
  2. Hey I am interested in buying some Jay's memorabilia. Pls send me List
  3. Best question I have seen so far... Why is it Sha-pie-row and not Sha-pee-row?
  4. Nope. All they need to know is who plays for the Jays, and bring their cash and butts to the Dome.
  5. Y poi t is we had shotty farm. AA restocked thru draft Why cant Jays do the same next year or year after?
  6. Give AA the payroll of Dodgers and he would have won multiple WS.
  7. I remember from the old board, dint our farm suck before AA came in?
  8. I agree with you that the prior GMs were not playing with a full deck, but those were the times. JPR was also in during the Yankees beasting. AA still needed to capitalize with his opportunities to get the team in the playoffs. And for the most part he pulled it off.
  9. How can we be not good in 2017? Is it pre determined? Shiieeettt it dint look good coming into 2014.
  10. You are right payroll is different. But he still had to get the players. He still needed to develop the farm so he could get those players.
  11. I would mind. He got Price, Tulo, Donaldson Revere, Travis to give the team a shot. I would have like to see what he would have done to keep the momentum going.
  12. 22 years is relevant. Not just for the fans but for Rogers' coffers. AA 6 years was way better that any post 93 GM. The team was 2 games away from the WS. Think about that..
  13. Thats the thing. The AA bashers making it sound like AA was the second coming of Stu Jackson. All these haters were probably jerking off to epicJays run. I know I was.
  14. Im not a casual fan, I would not mind if AA was given the keys to the castle. I have been lurking in this forum since it was born. Was even lurking the old one. Seems like there is a majority of posters here who thinks they are better "fans" than the avg Joe because they know fancy smanshy moneyball supersaber numbers. I say let as many bandwagon jumpers with all their opinions jump for the ride. Without these casual fans taking interest we could end up like the Expos.
  15. And now 25 000 more fans are packing the stadium.
  16. If we could trade for Trout, I will personally drive EE and Bau to LA. Altho to be honest I would hesitate trading Bats. And as a team you need these emotionally tied fans. They are the ones who will get their kids, the new generation to keep buying your product.
  17. Ofcourse not. But the masses would rather have AA make that decision than the new guy.
  18. Same GM who got rid of Vdubbs contract.
  19. And he also brought in the pieces that got the team to the playoffs. Got an MVP for cheap...but yeah lets forget about all that.
  20. How are they gonna come out and spend if the majority thinks we just destroyed a good thing. The fans embraced this team and AA for 3 months. The fans were hyped up after coming short in the ALCS. Then all of a sudden the team lost its Moses. And I agree with the mob. AA should have been kept to atleast see how far he could take his creation You got to keep the masses happy. They pay with cash so they are entitled to their opinions no matter how dumb.
  21. And thats the thing. The majority of the fans (the ones that keeps the gears greased) wanted AA to finish the job. He earned it. This was HIS team. I think after the coup that he pulled off in Aug. people started believing that he can fix the holes and get us back to the dance. In AA we trust. Rogers brings in an outsider (to the "casuals"), gets Toronto's favorite son kicked out, and the mob thinks Rogers playing cheap again.
  22. First of all full disclosure, I am not a fan of this "Rogers" move, but think us fans should give Shapiro a chance. Let see what the man can do. He is the POTUS now, and like it or not he is gonna lead the Jays to glory or mediocrity. With that being said, its funny how all the AA bashers are out in full force Rogers flooding the forum?? Like AA or not, he was the one that made it possible for the Jays to go on an epic run and gave us fans the excitment and hope this city has not experienced in 22 years. The Jays had momentum coming into 2016, but with this move, it seems to the majority of the paying fans Rogers slammed the break real quick. Hopefully Shapiro can restart the bus.
  23. You do know that without thie "idiotic" or "bandwagon" fans giving a crap, we would be like the Rays attendance wise. Plus without these fans spending money on Jays stuffs and watching on tv Rogers will go cheaper with the team.
