    Judge vs Vladdy that first ab. A tale of two batters. Judge is so discriminating about what he will swing at. Vladdy swung at every pitch out of the zone.

    The guy turned down $30M per annum to stay in NY. He won’t settle for less than $35m/year.

    But there was no runner on third in this situation. Kirk would come up with Vlad at first and Biggio at second. Maybe Kirk has a 2% higher chance of getting a hit which is what Boone was thinking, but EV makes things happen imo and I would have walked Vladdy. Either way Boone gets eviscerated for losing.

    Also we had already used Cimber, Garcia, and Bass. Why keep depleting our pen for one game. Roll the dice and if you win, great. Either way you end it soon. If not get after it for the next two games.

    Boone said after the game yesterday that he didn’t walk Vladdy because he didn’t want to face Kirk. He would rather face Vladdy than Kirk. Personally I think walking Vladdy would have been the better option; groundzilla notwithstanding. With two outs and walking Vlad he would have a force out at three bases.

    True that. They're going to get an outfielder in the off season to round out their team. Not sure if they will open their pockets though, the Angelos family are always calling for a salary cap. Their infield will be something to see over the next couple of years: C - Adley Rutschman, 1B - Ryan Mountcastle, 2B - Ramón Urías, SS - Jorge Mateo, 3B - Gunnar Henderson They look solid. Boston may stay in the basement for years to come.
